Setup Quick Guide

Download and Install OpenPV^® 

➤ Download the software.     

➤ Install the downloaded program (OpenPV.Installer.msi)

Download Plugins

➤ Start the OpenPV^® Developer Toolkit.

➤ Select the Plugins Window and Click on the desired development Path in the left column then.

➤ Click the Setup Profile button in the Actions pane on right to download the necessary components.

➤ Verify all the desired components have been installed in the All Downloads tab.

➤ Close and restart the OpenPV^® Developer Toolkit before continuing.

Verify an Active Connection

➤ Verify the display is functional. (Power on and make sure the logo or installer screen appears.)

➤ Verify connection between Dev computer and Display (Listen for USB connect tone.)

Prep the Display

➤ Make sure the display unit has been power cycled and has finished booting to the Helios logo screen.

➤ Click the Targets button.

➤ Verify the correct model of display ("Platform Family") is selected.   <-- This is critical in Prep.

➤ Click the Prep Target button in the Actions side panel.

➤ Once it completes successfully, the connection should show in the  bar at the bottom of OpenPV^® Toolkit. If not, close and restart OpenPV^® Toolkit.

Create a New Project

➤ Select New in the main Tool Bar then select a demo that most closely matches the desired starting point.

➤ Select the Generate button and verify the project compiles and creates a .OPV file in the Console Window.

➤Select the Load to Target button and verify the .opv file is transferred to the display in the Console Window.
