Note:
- Do not flash the S50 or S70 Codesys displays. The BSP's in OpenPV are not compatible.
- When migrating a display to the new optimized BSP in version 5.32 and newer the DFU method must be used.
- To recover a display that is locked up during the development process first SSH into the display and stop the application. If that is not successful then the DFU Flash method can be used to recover the display.
- In Version 3.x and newer the BSP can be updated by creating a custom install and selecting "Update Firmware" as shown below.
Verify Power to the Display
➤ Verify the display powers on to the installer screen or application screen.
➤ Connect the display to the Computer via USB-C cable.
➤ Power to the display must be stable and uninterrupted during the Flash process.
Boot Display into DFU Flash Mode
➤ Remove power from the display.
➤ S50 & S70 - Place a high-powered magnet over the triangle/circle icon on the back of the display in the area below the USB port as shown in diagram below.
➤ P100 - Place a high-powered magnet over the microphone hole on the front of the display.
➤ Apply power to the display while keeping the magnet in place.
➤ After a few seconds the magnet may be removed, the display screen should remain black if DFU mode was successful.
Install Firmware on the Display
➤ Select the Targets button from the tool bar
➤ Verify the correct platform/display is selected
➤ Verify the correct IP address is selected
- S50 & S70: 192.168.7.1
