This example demonstrates how to configure the analog inputs as a high side and a low side digital input. The status of the inputs is reflected in the user LED's as well as in the J1939 Aux I/O message which is broadcast at a 500mSec rate.
The primary settings to be mindful of are as follows:
- Override Resistors - if the default resistor settings need to be changed then set this to TRUE.
- Pull-up Resistors - Pullups are required if the input will switch between open circuit and ground to drive the input to a high voltage state. They can either pull high to a 5V supply or to Battery Positive. Which one is used depends on the input device requirements.
- Pull-down Resistors - a pulldown is required to keep the input from floating when the input is open and connected to a input device that will switch between V+ and open. Which pulldown is needed depends on the input device requirements.
- Digital Logic - set the logic level to be TRUE if the input is either high or low.
See table below for a list of pull-up and pull-down options available from the INPUTS Section of the manual.
