Shutdown to Loader Action
In the Powervision Central Control Module (CCM) there is an action that allows you to reboot the display and have it power back up to the bootloader screen. From this screen the user can then install new software.
This option can be used to allow a user to select a menu option to download new software or to programmatically force the display to the bootloader.
Auto Loading a File
If you wish the file loaded on a USB Flash drive to be automatically installed without any user intervention then simply name the file with the displays part number followed by -autoload.pv1 with no spaces in between (ex. 78700622-autoload.pv1). This option is not available on the imX35 display platforms PV450/485/780.
Example
In this example we are using a Freeform CAN message to force the display to reboot and maintains a status flag to indicate when new software has been installed. Feedback is monitored on a CAN message. See on-screen instructions.
Download the example created in PV version 4.791 for a PV780B.
