PDM's connected to a Enovation Controls color display can be updated through the display by loading updater software off of a USB Flash drive plugged into the display USB port.
This software installs the same way you would normally update the display and will automatically run once its installed.
Once installed it will automatically scan each CAN bus for any connected PDM's then update them with built in PDM firmware revision 114. No other files are required.
There may be more than one PDM on the CAN bus, the utility software will try and connect to any PDM whose source address is 30, 31, 32, and 33. If there is a second CAN Port it will scan that bus and update those PDM's as well.
PDM part numbers supported are 58700012 and 58700013.
Prepare USB Flash Drive
- Use a USB 2.0 compatible drive.
- Any size between 1G to 32G will work.
- Format the drive as a FAT32 file system before downloading the utility software.
- Make sure there are no partitions on the drive or other files.
- Sandisk Cruzer drives are compatible.
Download Updater Software by Display Family
Download the appropriate utility straight to your USB Flash drive, no other files are required. These files install the same way you would normally perform a display update. For convenience you can download all the files needed on the same Flash drive and just select the correct one from the bootloader/menu when installing on the display.

Running the PDM Update Utility
Once the PDM updater software is installed the display will automatically run the utility and start scanning the CAN bus for PDM's to update. No user input is required. The feedback for the PV450/PV485/PV780/HV700 is a little different so JUMP HERE for reference images.
Each PDM that is updated will be indicated by a part number and its serial number.
When a PDM at a specific source address is not found it will be indicated by its address.
Verify all of the expected PDM's are found and have been updated while in progress.
Once complete, the Utility will automatically delete itself and return the display to normal operation.
If any errors where noted power cycle the PDM's then repeat the process.
