PDM Firmware Update .mot Files
Download the following files to your computer for the specific model you wish to update. This is the firmware file you will download to the PDM using the EDIS software.
Download Rev 114 for 12V PDM P/N 58700012 and 58700022
Download Rev 114 for IX3212 PDM P/N 58700013
Software Required

E-Com Cable Driver
- Install the driver per the following E-Com Driver Installation Instructions

PDM RH850 Display Software (EDIS)
- Installation Instructions:
- Copy the zip file to your hard drive
- Unzip all the files to a new folder
- Run the setup.exe file from the new folder
- Use all of the default settings and follow the prompts

Hardware Required
E-Com Cable P/N E2046014B - USB to CAN Adapter supplied with a 3-pin Deutsch triangular plug.
Adapter Harness to connect to the equipment.
Connections Required
If connecting to the PDM on the bench then only the following connections are required.
If the PDM is installed on the equipment only a connection to the CAN bus is needed.
- Power - Main Pwr Connector +
- Ground - Main Pwr Connector -
- CAN Low - Green Plug Pin1
- CAN Hi - Green Plug Pin12
Note - for bench top connections a 120ohm termination resistor is needed between CAN Hi and CAN low.
Step 1 - Connect the E-Com Cable
Connect the E-Com USB cable to the computers USB Port - the power LED will turn green.
Connect the E-Com comm cable to the equipment's CAN bus, consult equipment manufacturer for best connection point.
Step 2 - Launch the PDM RH850 Display Software
In the Windows Search box type PDM to find the app labeled PDM RH850 Display and launch it or look for the Enovation N icon.
Enter the following pass code using copy/paste
OLOH-QIQS-1R2C-EFXA
Select "Save password" then press OK. This way you only need to enter the password one time.
Verify EDIS connects to the PDM - A green "Connected" status will appear.
Step 3 - Load New Firmware to the PDM
Select "File" from the menu then "Reprogram Target"
Select the desired .mot file then select "Load" to start the download.
Select "YES" on the next two prompts to start the download
Monitor Progress Bar to verify download completes properly and the following message appears.
Select "OK" to finish the process.
Step 4 - Verify Version Number
After a successful download the PDM will reset.
On the main screen verify the firmware version displayed matches the desired version in the PDM Retro Version box.
Step 5 - Multiple PDM's
If there are multiple PDM's on the same CAN bus then select which one you you wish to communicate with. Each PDM will have a unique address on the bus so the E-Com settings must be changed to match the address of each PDM to update.
From the Menu select "Comm Port" then "Configure ECOM"
Select a Target CAN Address 30, 31, 32, or 33 then verify the green connected status message appears. Next repeat steps 3 through 4.
