    Hello Mert,

I talked to the firmware engineer about your internal heater questions.  He said the PV780 internal heater will come on at -10 C and then off at 0 C, unless the variable is used to disable the heater.  The M2 displays, like the PV780B and PV1200, do not have an internal heater because they run hotter and don't need it.  The variable and action are still in the M2 configurations and are not used but there is a bug entered to have them removed.  The internal heater will draw 1 Amp additional when the internal heater is on for the PV780.  Normally, the PV780 will draw .7 Amp and with the internal heater about 1.8 Amp.  It has to be below -10 C to come on.

    Thanks,

    Boyce

    Hello Boyce,

    Thanks for your reply.

We have tested that the M2 displays run around 40-50 C in room temperature (25 C), would this increase in a hotter place where the temperature is around 50-55 C? Would such temperature affect the performance of the display?

Note: Datasheet states maximum operating temperature is 85 C, does the display operate at its optimal performance up to this temperature?

    Thanks,

    Mert

I'm told that the M2 displays will operate at optimal performance up to the maximum operating temperature.
