PV780 voltage limits on inputs
I know the digital are active-high but no range is specified so I assume 12/24vdc is okay?
What about the analog inputs, these have the option of being used as a digital in (0-5vdc) so 12vdc cannot be used? What about if a 1k Ohm current-limiting resistor is used?
I would like to know before I subject a unit to a bench test :)

Hi Justin,
Here's the answer from the developer:
The digital inputs are designed to tolerate high voltage, they do not feedback any voltage to the internal display power rails.
The analog inputs are not designed to tolerate more than 5VDC, even if set as digital inputs. Also, I don’t advise to add any serial resistor in series to limit the current, any voltage transitions will bypass the display power protections and it could result in permanent damage.

Hi Mario,
Yes, it is the same for all displays. The displays use the same basic circuitry for the IO. Some of the OEM displays (PV485) have some small differences in components but the design rating is the same.
Sorry for the delay. I replied before and I thought the system would post my response here but it didn't.
Thank you,
Boyce

Hi All ,
I hope you are doing well. I have a question , How can i use digital input pin in PV780 to control an indication when i have ground on the pin ? I have a pic on the screen that colored red when the pin read ground and white when the pin is floating . So, how can i configure it using power vision SW ?
Thank youMohamed Saad
