Control & Diagnostic Extension 5.12
Control & Diagnostic Extension 5.12
OpenPV Control Extension Version 5.12.0 is Available
Release Notes:
This release adds CAN diagnostic trouble code (DM1/DM2) support, CAN bus health reporting, and coprocessor reset detection and recovery, along with a new boot reason message for the coprocessor and updated coprocessor firmware for OpenView Pro (CA91) and OpenView S (CM4) targets.
NEW FEATURES
- CAN Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DM1/DM2) - Added support for J1939 DM1 (active) and DM2 (previously active) diagnostic trouble code messages, allowing applications to report and consume standard CAN diagnostic events.
- CAN Bus Error & Timeout Reporting - Applications can now request the current CAN error count and receive notifications for CAN bus state changes and CAN bus quiet-timer (loss of traffic) events.
- Coprocessor Reset Detection & Recovery - The host service now detects when the CAN/IO coprocessor resets unexpectedly, automatically reinitializes it, and notifies the application that a reset occurred and recovery was performed.
- Coprocessor Boot Reason Reporting - Added a message to query why the coprocessor last rebooted, distinguishing an ignition-power restart from a CAN wake-up event, and identifying which CAN port triggered a wake-up.
COPROCESSOR FIRMWARE
The embedded coprocessor firmware (CM4/CA91) included with this release contains the following changes:
- Add CAN bus state, error count, and quiet-timer reporting.
- Add reset detection and recovery handling.
- Add boot reason reporting, including ignition-restart vs. CAN wake-up and originating CAN port.
UPGRADE NOTES
- This release updates to Ahsoka.Core 5.39. No customer-facing API changes are required to adopt it.
