Square Route in Programming

Hi, 

I need to use square route in a calculation and I don't think this function is available which surprised me. Am I right?

If so is there a work around for this? Or do I just do the below?

sqrt(9) = 9^(1/2)

3   =     3

  The square root function is not available through calculation events, however there is a Sqrt() function available in the angelscript language.
