Machine hours on PV780
Hi,
I’m having some trouble with the machine hour application. I can increment the value and save it but I can’t change it to match the machine hours of the actual machine. I would prefer to use the J1939 parameter but that is unfortunately not an option for this engine.
What I did was to create a state machine that increments the value when the engine is running. As stated, this works well.
I tried to use the set MHrs.Set.MachineHours and UpdateMachineHours, this seem to work but whenever I try to increment the value it reverts back. I have also tried to connect through powervision to the display and via the Remote-application change the value of the Machine hour variable. This also seems to work but if run an increment it reverts back. It reverts back even if I don’t restore the value from the database which, according to the manual, should not be possible.
How are these functions suppose to work? It seems the manual is not accurate. Actually, there is no mention of the setMachineHours for the colour displays but neither is any other method for altering the value.
Best regards
