Engine Transmit Device with configurable ID

Hi,

recently I needed sending to the ECU some parameters with specific PGN and source address. The Engine Transmit Device would be very handy for this job but unfortunatley it is only possible specifying the PGN while the source address used for building the whole CAN ID together with it, is that of the display's CAN port. This forces the use of Free Form CAN messages and limits the functionality of the Engine Transmit Device which would be a great thing if upgraded to also allow a specific source address besides the PGN for each transmittted message.

  Hi, You can do this by changing your display source address on the CANPort then it will change the address on which you are sending out.

  Yes I know but it is very awkward since the CAN source address has to be changed temporarily then restored evry time, not the best definitely.
