Timer name cannot be empty or all whitespace

This config was developed on 2.7/2.8 and works fine. We tried to open it up in 2.9 and get this error when we validate configuration… See attached.

2.8 doesn’t throw this error (so called).

Is this a bug?

Not a bug. A configuration validation was added in 2.9 to prevent blank names.

Thank you Boyce. Should we be concerned the name is currently blank in our 2.8 config?

No, blank names were okay in 2.8 and before.
