Datalogger file name

Hi, 

we havethe datalogger starting stoping, saving and clearing all OK and the data is very useful in post analysis during development.

Is it possible to inciment or change the name of the filename when it saves to USB?

The default of LogFile.csv is easially renamed, but each time the data is saved to the USB stick, the previous LogFile.csv file gets overwritten on the USB stick.

 

It would be really nice if we could use a counter or even the real time clock to drive a value of a variable as the log file name, so each tme it was saved, it would inciment the file name, like LogFile001.csv, then LogFile002.csv  for example.

Is this possible?

  Hello Dave,

  Yes, the Standard datalogger has an action "OutputNewFile" to output the log file with a unique name.

  

  The names on the USB will be LogFile0.csv, LogFile1.csv....
