This example demonstrates how to obtain keypad data from user input when the display does not have a touch screen by using just the hard buttons.
Two methods are given. The first displays just a single character at a time and allows the user to scroll through the list of characters and add the desired ones to a string. The second method displays a keypad graphic and next/previous buttons are used to move the highlight over the desired character on the keypad graphic which can then be added to the string by selecting an add button.
Script routines are used in these examples to move through the list of characters and manipulate the strings.
See the notes section in the configuration for more information.
