The main window information / buttons, locations, and descriptions are:

(1) Version Number
The version number in the OpenPV Toolkit title bar must match the Installer App Version in the lower left corner of the display unit's screen before beginning development. If they do not match, please follow the Prepare Display Guide.
(2) New
New is used to create a new project from an OpenPV Demo package that has been downloaded. Clicking opens a window allowing selection of downloaded demos. This process is detailed in the Loading a New Demo Project to Display guide.
(3) Open
This is used to open a project which has already been created. Clicking opens a file manager window allowing navigation to the project directory and select the package info file. This process is detailed in the Open an Existing Project guide.
(4) Console
The console window shows the most recent log messages.
The Watch Application button shows the console message output from the application currently running on the connected display. This is useful for communicating success and debugging applications.
The Watch Installer Button shows recent Installation messages.
Use of this window is explained in the Using the OpenPV Console guide.
(5) Plugins
Opens a listing of downloads and plugins organized by development path.
(6) Displays
Opens the list of Displays in the left pane and shows the configuration of the selected display in the main section. This screen is used to flash the appropriate firmware to the selected display by using the Flash Distribution button. Once a unit is flashed with the correct firmware, the Prep Display button is used to install the platform support files to the display and the development computer.
(7) Projects
The Projects Manager allows you to create and participate in OpenPV Teams. Teams allow you to share device keys, devices, applications and other multi-user features. A team should be created for each set of devices / products you plan to build with the OpenPV Toolkit as it simplifies the management of not only the devices but also the applications and their related data.
(8) Account
Used for account management and changing passwords. The About OpenPV tab lists versions and license information for the open source tools.
(9) Help Documents
Local Help file installed during OpenPV installation. Described in the Built in Development Help guide.
(10) Updates
Indicates when new versions are available and allows the installed version to be changed.
(11) Show All Connection Info
Clicking on the Connection Status button (bottom left square) will show all connection information including all hardware family / qualifier and all version info.
(12) Hostname or IP Address of connected target
The Hostname or IP Address of the connected target.
(13) Name of currently running application
The Name of the currently running application on the connected target.
(14) Active Connection Selector
Allows selection of target if multiple displays have been configured using the Displays button.
(15) Reboot Button
This causes a full reboot of the display and restarting of the custom application. This is not commonly used.
(16) Stop Button
This is used frequently to stop a running custom application and put the display into Installer mode so a new application can be loaded. If the unit is in Installer mode already, pressing the button will typically stop the installer and start the loaded custom application.
