Overview: This guide outlines the steps to download and install the required software on a Windows development computer to enable it to connect with an OpenPV display. A condensed guide is available HERE. To prepare a Development Computer for using OpenPV:

Download and Install the OpenPV Developer Toolkit
➤ Download Software from HERE.
➤ Install the downloaded program: OpenPV.Installer.msi - it must be version 1.251 or newer.
Download Components and Install the STM Firmware Flashing Utility:
➤ Start the OpenPV Developer Toolkit.
➤ Verify the version shown in the top bar of the window is 1.251 or newer.
If not, click Updates in the far right of the main toolbar, select the most recent release, and click Install Release at the top of the right sidebar.
Click anywhere on the welcome panel to dismiss it.
Behind the welcome panel, the Plugins screen is already opened. If it needs to be manually opened, click the Plugins button in the Main Toolbar.
➤ Click on the desired development Path in the left column. (1)
➤ Click the Setup Profile button in the Actions pane on right to download the necessary components. (2)
Install Flash tool

Once downloads are complete, the STM32Cube Programmer will automatically begin installation.
➤ Allow STM32Cube Flash tool permission to install and proceed through installation.
After accepting the terms of the license agreement, the next screen requires “I have read and understood the ST Privacy Policy and St Terms of Use” to be checked, but the data collection consent box is optional.
Default selections should typically be accepted whenever installation prompts appear.
During installation, the STM32Cube Programmer will open an additional Device Driver Installation Wizard window. When it appears, install any necessary drivers and components.
